Charlotte is truly an amazing town for small businesses. It seems countless inspired little shops are constantly popping up and wowing us. And Charlotte has always had a spirit for supporting local and shopping small. These are just a few of my can’t-miss spots for all your shopping needs!
This post is all about Charlotte small businesses to support this year!
Boutiques
Charlotte Collective
This lovely shop is a the brain child of several Charlotte small business owners. When they saw an opening on Central Ave. in Plaza Midwood, they saw an opportunity to join together to make one cute super-shop. Some of the brands included in the shop are Worthy Figures, Winnie’s Boutique, Shani Amara, Pretty Honest Shop, Lini + Pop, and bunches of other amazing women-owned businesses. This is the perfect place to find a new outfit or accessory, or get a gift for a friend. The Central Ave shop has since closed, but they opened a second shop in the South End neighborhood off Camden Rd. This is a truly stellar small business to shop with.

Their South End shop is a pink wonderland, filled with trendy boutique clothing, as well as their ever-changing collections of house designed apparel. These collections feature themes of everything from “Bravo Babe” to “Spooky Szn.” The shop also includes a variety of cheeky brands of candles, stationary, beauty products and more. Gifts
Grow CLT
It sounds silly to say that plants are making a comeback, but there is nothing better than getting or giving a new houseplant. It’s the perfect way to brighten up a space, and Grow CLT is one of the Charlotte small business experts at exactly that. This shop started in a shipping container, and has since grown into two locations, one at Camp North End and one in Davidson. They carry a huge variety of houseplants with individual care instructions on all of them, as well as some truly beautiful pots to plant them in. Do not sleep on giving these plants as gift. Yes its a responsibility, but it’s also a fun purpose.

This shop is just too cute. There truly is no other way to describe it. Expertly curated goods make this shop the perfect place to find a gift, for yourself or for others. Locally made jewelry, vintage barware, bespoke leather goods, adorable greeting cards, and so many more items outfit the three locations. The flagship store in Plaza Midwood sits in an adorable craftsman house that you’ll never want to leave. It’s impossible to leave this shop without a bag in hand or a list of things to come back for in your head. This is a truly unique and beautiful Charlotte small business.

Nestled in a cute shop next to Sunflour Baking Co. on East Blvd, this collaborative shop is owned by three badass female small business owners. Together they combined their specialties to create a cohesive shop fit for all your gifting needs. The front of the shop is filled with plants, just waiting to be paired with their amazing handcrafted pots. The plants are all different varieties, sizes and durability. The concrete planters range from traditional round, to adorable butts and boob-shaped pots. This shop is the perfect place to support small business babes and satisfy your gifting needs!

Paper Skyscraper
When I say this shop has an amazing gift option for just about anybody, I mean it. This place is a treasure trove of gift options (for others and yourself). Beautiful art and table books, puzzles, games, snacks, candles, tea towels, cards, wrapping, and literally just about anything else you could think of can be found here. It really is a one stop-shop for gifting. It’s also just a truly amazing place to get lost roaming down the aisles looking at beautiful and fun and funny things.
