With such a simple recipe, the only way to truly elevate it is by having the freshest ingredients you can. With that in mind it is important to have certain things be the best quality.
For the garlic, basil and parsley, be sure to go with fresh. Or if you want it to be even more delicious (but more time consuming) you can use roasted garlic instead of raw. Be sure to also use a yummy balsamic vinegar and a good quality extra virgin olive oil. This will give the dressing a richer, deeper taste. Good olive oil can truly make all the difference!
the tools
When making this basil balsamic vinaigrette, there are a few different kitchen tools you can use to make things easier. At the end of the day, you could sit there and mince the garlic and herbs by hand. But when there are so many easier effective tools, why not use one of those!
If you want to go old school, a mortar and pestle like this one is perfect! Using the mortar and pestle you can grind up the basil, parsley and garlic into a paste of sorts to mix with the rest of the ingredients.
But, if you’re looking for something even easier and hands free, use something electric. This immersion blender or this food processor are the perfect tools to make this basil balsamic vinaigrette, quick and easy!
