Basil Balsamic Vinaigrette

This delicious, versatile dressing will become your new favorite.

Equipment

  • mortar and pestle optional
  • food processor optional

Ingredients
  

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 6-10 basil leaves
  • 5-7 parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions
 

  • If using a mortar and pestle, grind up the garlic clove, basil and parsley together until it creates a paste. Otherwise, mince the three until very fine. This can also be made in a food processor.
  • In a tight sealed jar, mix the garlic/basil/parsley mixture with the balsamic, dijon mustard, honey, salt and pepper and shake vigorously.
  • Add in the olive oil and shake again. Or if using a food processor, stream in olive oil as you mix.
  • Serve and enjoy!
