Croque Madame Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 Croissants
  • 6 slices Deli Ham
  • 1 cup Gruyere Cheese grated
  • 1 cup Swiss Cheese grated
  • 10 Eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg ground
  • Chives optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Pepare a 9x12 baking dish by greasing with butter or spraying it with a nonstick.
  • Tear up the croissants into bite size pieces and place them in the baking dish.
  • Tear the deli ham into pieces and nestle them into the croissant in the baking dish. Make sure they are evenly spread throughout.
  • Top the croissant and ham with grated cheese, spreading them around evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, dijon mustard, cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Carefully pour this mixture over the contents of the baking dish. Croissants should be partially submerged in the egg mixture.
  • Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until set and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Top with the minced chives and serve warm! Enjoy!
